Christina graduated from University of California, Irvine in June 2014 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Medical Anthropology. During her time at UCI, she was an undergraduate researcher in the Raffatellu Lab assisting in various projects that studied the expression patterns of neutrophils in an organism’s immune response to Salmonella typhimurium infection.
In October 2014, Christina joined the Hughes-Fulford Lab as part of the team working on the “Suppression of the Immune Response in Spaceflight and Aging” study. She is excited to be traveling along with the rest of the team to Cape Canaveral in December 2014.
